We stepped in to help a global leader in the hobby and craft machinery industry, after they discovered their Bluetooth-UART connectivity module had reached end of life. They needed a fast drop-in replacement that was cost-effective and would have guaranteed future supply.
Virscient developed a future-proof module using NextGen low-cost SoC allowing both classic BT or BLE. We’ve developed full hardware and firmware design and productization to ensure their manufacturing capacity could keep up with demand.
Results:
- Product lines are now insulated against supply chain issues
- Significantly reduced BoM
- Wireless connectivity for users with iOS or Android devices
